This was a disappointing  game, played by two teams who are challenging for the title, but ending in a 0-0 draw.

Both sets of defenders nullified the attacks quite easily all afternoon, and unfortunately for Woods, a number of players didn’t perform to their high standards.

The first half saw Max Moore make a last ditch tackle to deny Bedfont's No. 7, and Mark Britt also made a superb save to deny the same player. It wasn’t until the 36th minute that Woods had their first shot on goal, a 25 yard free kick driven just wide by Carl Hunt.

The second half was more entertaining, and Mark Britt made another good save at the feet of the Bedfont No 9. But there was still no sign of any clear chances for the Woods.

Geoff Foster gradually brought on the three subs to inject some urgency into the game, one being Paul Element who was returning to Northwood after a number of years. Unfortunately  Joe Cowen was booked for dissent by a referee who was not having too good a game.

Bedfont had a goal chalked off for pushing in the box, then Woods nearly broke the deadlock when Carl Hunt's free kick came back from the inside of the post and Jerome Cole blazed the rebound wide. In mitigation, the linesman did raise his flag for offside.

Man of the match : Danny Brown.
